TrafficMaster Brazilian Cherry is a discontinued 7 mm embossed laminate sold at Home Depot under model HL705. It had a dark reddish-brown cherry print, square edges and a 15-year residential warranty. It belongs to the same HL70x laminate series as Baytown Oak HL704. How to confirm HL705 on a carton

  1. Read the brand strip. It should say TrafficMaster.
  2. Find HL705 or UPC 664646305167 on the carton end.
  3. Measure a loose plank: 7 mm thick, 7-11/16 in. wide, 50-5/8 in. long, square edges.
  4. Compare color in daylight next to the installed floor. Cherry prints can vary between production runs.

What will not match

  • Baytown Oak HL704 shares the series and plank format but is a different color.
  • Glenwood Oak HL706 is a neighboring model with a wider 7-3/4 in. plank.
  • “Brazilian Cherry” is also used by many hardwood, engineered and vinyl products from other brands. Those will not lock into HL705.

Yes. Home Depot no longer stocks it, and owners report finding it only as leftover cartons.

Is it waterproof?

No. Like other laminates of its era it has a fiberboard core, so standing water can swell the planks.

  12. Hello. I have the Traffic Master Brazilian Cherry glue less laminate flooring currently installed at home. I had water damage to a few of the pieces. Went to Home Depot and bought the replacement laminate needed; however, the original flooring was installed in 2012 (one of the pieces shows a 2012-04-28 date) and apparently the new models do not have the same size – and therefore do not inter-lock properly. Could you please advise? I am trying to avoid having to change the whole floor.
