Allure Smoked Oak Luxury Vinyl Planks

We installed 24 boxes of this in the Smoked Oak Silver. It is beautiful and virtually indestructible. We installed it in a kitchen, dining area, laundry/bath, and the master bath. It is not as easy as they say to lay, but once you figure it out it isn’t that difficult. You need to take your time and be patient with it.
The main things you need to know is first of all, it is much too thick to cut with a utility knife. We used a jig saw and circular saw to cut it. Using power tools is much safer and much faster with this product. Don’t expect the ends to just click together with a push of your hand either. You need a rubber mallet to tap the ends down and get a nice smooth surface. On the long edges, make sure both edges are clean and they there are no pieces of dust or debris in the locking ridges. Any small particle of saw dust etc will prevent your seam from fitting tight. If you set the piece into the ridge and then lower it to just above your finger thickness and wiggle it up and down at that angle, you will feel a little “click” and then you know you have your seam tight. Always make sure the corners are lined up. If you get off, you will have a gap. Once you use the mallet to lock the ends it is very difficult to get them back apart without breaking the locking edges! Patience is the key.
I will use this product again. I am thinking about installing about 650 sq ft of it in my cottage next! I love the look, the easy care, the durability and the quality.
