Last christmas (2009) we saw an awesome deal on Amazon on the Teragren synergy floating babmoo floor and ordered online. Did a lot of research on internet, had visited local stores and have seen samples of different brands including Lumber Liquidators brand, but liked the Teragren and Cali. Based on Teragren’s website, their product is truly green and eco-friendly which was what we wanted. However price was a big factor, so the deal at Amazon was a clincher. True to Amazon, product was delivered on time, free shipping. Very pleased.
I followed all the installation instructions to the tee, including leveling the concrete subloor, putting a good quality underlayment from Lowes etc. .
The installed product looks gorgeous. It is very tough and scratch resistant. I dropped my hammer and pry bar on it and no dings/dents. There is very low odor initally after unpacking and after less than a day, no more odor. Floor preparation was the most work as we had carpet before. After that installation was pretty easy. I dont have lots of tools, just a 10 inch miter saw that can only cut 5 – 6 inces wide boards. These boards are wider and I had to turn the board around to cut the rest. These are heavy boards so having a sliding saw that will clean cut in one pass will definitely help.
I was cutting them in my garage and found some some of the scrap cut pieces that got thrown out on the front yard last weekend while cleaning the yard for spring. These pieces sat in the winter snow/rain all thru winter for three months and no warping, almost no fading and still tough as new. This is an amazing bamboo product. Very impressed. Will buy again if I get another price break.
