Shaw versus Mohawk Review
| Carpet, Misc |
These
are the two giants of the carpet manufacturing history. While Shaw started the buy out craze by hiring fresh graduates to find retailers for its carpets, Mohawk focused on buying carpet manufacturers that are really well know in the carpet industry.
Let’s get into the comparisons of Shaw carpet and Mohawk carpet now.
Here are the features of the Shaw carpets:
• It has the “R2X Stain Treatment.” This Treatment allows for the easy maintenance of the carpet as it is stain resilient and it repels common soiling problems. It goes above and beyond regular treatments as it protect more thatn just the top portion of the carpet.
• It has “Sofbac.” This features allows for wrinkle free carpets, it insulates the floor, muffles sound, will not make scrapes on your walls and it allows for easier installation.
• With Shaw’s “EverTouch Fibers,” it allows the carpet to be oh-so soft to the touch and it can tickle and caress you even in between your toes.
Here are some of the features of Mohawk carpets:
• Mohawk also manufactures the fibers of the carpet so you can actually buy at discount if you so choose a nameless or unbranded carpet from them.
• It has the SmartStrand feature that is also stain resistant, very durable and makes the carpet comfortable and soft to the touch.
• And for the supporters of the green movement (environmental friendly people), then they will be happy to note that the “EverStrand” fiber is actually made from recycled bottles!
In a nutshell, both are amazing carpet products and they also basically have the same features so it really is up to the consumer to decide whether to buy a Shaw carpet or a Mohawk carpet.
Very good article on the differences between the two carpets but what about the differences in the hardwood floors from Shaw and Mohawk. I am in the hardwood flooring business and have found that both have a lot of products made overseas. Does anyone have an opinion on this?
