How is Pergo floor constructed?

Pergo consists of three main components that are bonded together. The wear-resistant surface is made of a durable melamine laminate and bonded to a wood-based (HDF) substrate. The laminate itself is a combination of several different layers merged together under heat and high pressure. Each layer has different properties and functions.

The specially engineered, moisture resistant, HDF substrate provides a stable foundation with minimal expansion and contraction. On some of our products the substrate is made extra moisture resistant to give special water protection. A special backing on the underside of the substrate helps keep your floor stable. Why should you use Pergo?

Whatever be your style, Pergo has a beautiful floor for you. No other brand offers such a wide range of designs, making it the perfect choice for any room in your home. Pergo has floors placed in the highest class of wear-resistance for each and every room in your house. Moreover, the specially developed surface protection technology makes it very difficult to scuff the floors. This makes Pergo floors very easy to clean and they keep their luster for a very long time.

With this, Pergo (laminate floors) are well built, easy to maintain, and cost effective for most homes.
