Laminate Floor Installation in Basement

A week ago myself and a buddy were asked by some friends to install a laminate (Pergo) floor in their basement. The basement was approximately 400 square feet, and had some things we had to work around such as door jams, fireplaces, and stairs.

The first part was the part that took the most time as we had to work in a narrow hallway with 2 doorjams, and stairs. It took almost 2 hours for around 60 square feet. Then the slow part was over in the installation of the laminate.

Over the next 2 hours we installed about 300 square feet, and the rest of the laminate was installed the following day.

The laminate flooring installation went pretty smooth, and it shows that laminate can be installed easily and quickly even in a basement that had very uneven walls, some wierd angles, and a fireplace to work around.

The laminate in the basement really dressed it up, and maked this basement a place you really want to spend time in.
